The purpose of Historic Homes and Garden Tour is to heighten awareness and promote preservation of Oklahoma City’s architectural history, and to ensure the protection of our enduring cultural landmarks for years to come. The Heritage Café by Ingrid’s Kitchen will serve food. From sandwiches to their famous pastries at the Overholser lawn. Gift sales on the lawn will feature one-of-a-kind Heritage Hills giftware.
The Tour features a cross-section of homes and gardens, offering guests the unique opportunity to view different styles and stages of homes in the neighborhood. Building Oklahoma City took great heart and perseverance, but preserving our roots takes just as
much dedication. The families who live in this community view their homes as gifts that are shared with the public once a year. We enjoy sharing our passion for Oklahoma City’s historic architecture.
The 2012 tour will feature The Adams Home; The Bingaman Home, The Cavin Home, The Hatfield Home, The Hawkins Home, St.Luke’s United Methodist Church, The Hefner Mansion and the Overholser Mansion. The Overholser Mansion is located at 405 N.W. 15th Street.
