It’s time to don your halo and support Arts Council Oklahoma City at Central Oklahoma’s oldest arts fundraiser.

The 48th annual Angels and Friends Party, presented by Arvest Bank, is set for Wed., April 22 during Festival of the Arts at the Myriad Gardens Water Stage from 5:30 to 8:30pm. The party is Arts Council OKC’s only fundraiser so you won’t want to miss it!

This year’s festivities will remain at the Water Stage under a grand tent for a garden-party feel. Guests will again have the opportunity to overlook Festival of the Arts. “We are thrilled to have Angels and Friends at the gorgeous Myriad Gardens,” said Lindsey Pever, Director of Development at Arts Council Oklahoma City. “The party offers such a great opportunity to catch up with friends you have not seen in a while and enjoy the onset of spring weather while supporting the arts!”

Party-goers can enjoy an open bar and a special performance by students from Arts Council OKC’s youth arts education program All Access Arts. Through a collaboration with Bring Back the Music, students from Millwood schools auditioned and have been polishing their repertoire for weeks to perform at this prestigious event.

“I think people really enjoy celebrating the coming of spring knowing the party supports very necessary arts programming in our community,” Pever said.

Scrumptious fare will be provided by: Benchmark Food Group, Knucks Wheelhouse, Iguana Mexican Grill, In the Raw, La Brasa Peruvian Kitchen, Rococo, Tommy’s Italian American Grill, Will Rogers Theatre and the Tasting Room, Cuppies and Joe, Leo’s Barbecue, Pie Junky, Sweetery Eatery, and Whiskey Cake. Décor is donated by: A Date With Iris, Howard Brothers Florist, New Leaf Floral, Mood Party Rentals, Tony Foss Flowers, Tropical Plant Leasing Service, and XO Events and Design.

New this year, a pre-party VIP Reception, presented by Hall Estill, will take place at 4:30 pm for Sustaining Patrons and above.

As part of the Go Green Initiative, the Angels and Friends Party is a zero-landfill event. All trash is sorted and recycled or composted, while all invitation materials were printed on post-consumer paper.

Angels and Friends tickets are available online at www.artscouncilokc.com starting at $65/person or $125/couple. Other levels with added benefits are available.
