The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Oklahoma City Young Professionals organization will host the only Oscar Experience event in Oklahoma Feb. 24. The official watch party kicks-off at 6 p.m. at Will Rogers Theatre, 4322 N. Western Avenue, in Oklahoma City.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Oklahoma City was selected as one of the 45 charities across the nation to bring the Oscar experience to life with an official viewing party. Oscar Experience: Oklahoma City includes a live broadcast watch party complete with official copies of the Oscar show program and commemorative posters from the 85th Oscars.

Attendees can enjoy food and drinks, the live telecast, trivia games and more. Wendell Edwards and Maggie Stokes, morning show anchors of KOCO Channel 5 will serve as event emcees. Cocktail or 1920s attire is welcome.

Oscar Experience is part of a grassroots outreach program that allows selected charities to host official Oscar watch parties and raise crucial dollars for their organizations. Funds raised from the Oklahoma City event will allow Ronald McDonald House Charities of Oklahoma City to continue to pursue their mission of providing a ‘home away from home’ for families with seriously ill or injured children receiving medical treatment in the Oklahoma City area.

Ronald McDonald House Charitiesof Oklahoma City is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that benefits children by providing a ‘home away from home’ every day of the year for families with seriously ill or injured children who come to the Oklahoma City area for medical treatment. Families are offered a choice of staying at the Ronald McDonald House or Ronald McDonald Family Roomlocated inside The Children’s Hospital. Each family receives lodging, meals and many extras, including the opportunity to receive support from other families experiencing similar hardships.
