Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark will host Taste of BricktownSunday, October 7 from 3:00 to 5:00pm for its annual celebration of restaurants, businesses and community of the Bricktown area.

“We created Taste of Bricktown as a way to highlight the restaurants of this booming district,” Jeannette Smith, executive director of the Bricktown Association said. “This year, Taste of Bricktown will feature more than 20 restaurants and host entertainment for children and adults alike. We’re grateful to our sponsor, Chevy, and all of our partners that are making this event a success.”

Participating restaurants range from Mickey Mantle’s Steakhouse to Fuzzy’s Taco Shop and will offer a sampling of some of their most popular dishes.  Matt Stansberry and the Romance will serve as Taste of Bricktown’s live music entertainment and children can choose from activities such as an inflatable area, face painting and more. Oklahoma City sports teams’ mascots will also be making appearances at the event.

“Whether you come with your family or a group of friends,Taste of Bricktown offers something for everyone,” Smith said. “From an exclusive wine and cheese tasting for VIP guests to pumpkin decorating for the kids, there are multiple opportunities to get a ‘taste’ of what Bricktown has to offer.”

This year, Taste of Bricktown will offer VIP tickets for the first time, which includes tastings from 22 Bricktown restaurants, complimentary beer and a special wine and cheese tasting in the Legends Lounge of the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. General admission tickets include tastings from the Bricktown restaurants and two complimentary drink tickets, which are good for beer or soda. If general admission guests are interested in purchasing additional soda or beer, a cash bar will be available. All attendees are invited to participate in the silent auction and raffle contests.

Tickets are on sale now and are $20 in advance and $30 at the door for general admission and $50 for VIP tickets. Children 12 and under get in free. Tickets can be purchased online at www.welcometobricktown.com or by phone at (405) 236-8666. Free parking is available in the parking lot east of the ballpark.
