Trace Adkins will kick off free concert series at Newcastle Casino

Country music singer Trace Adkins will highlight a trio of free outdoor shows as part of Newcastle Casino’s Concerts at the Castle series.

Adkins will headline the year’s first outdoor show on June 23. Gates will open at 6 p.m. The Jason Young Band will open with Adkins taking the stage at 8:30. The show will be in the casino’s north parking lot.
Tickets for the show are available now at the Newcastle Casino Players Club. Guests can also register to be entered into a drawing to be held the night of the concert for two VIP seats, two meet-and-greet passes and a guitar autographed by Adkins.

Other Concerts at the Castle will feature Elvis tribute artist Travis LeDoyt on Aug. 16 and Exit 107 Live Family Music Festival on Oct. 2.

Adkins’ show and the Elvis tribute are open to ages 18 and older. Like Adkins’ show, tickets for the Elvis tribute will be available at the casino’s Players Club. The Family Music Festival is open to all ages and no tickets are required.

“We are thrilled to host our fifth annual outdoor concert series, now called Concerts at the Castle,” said Ryan Sykes, Newcastle’s general manager. “We had to put the outdoor concerts on hold for a year due to facility construction. We are looking forward to having the community come out and enjoy first-class entertainment.”

Food and refreshments will be available for purchase during the show. Outside food and drink will be prohibited. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. Bags will be checked at the entrance gate.
Newcastle Casino is at I-44 SH 62 in Newcastle. For more information, go to newcastlecasino.com or call (405) 387-6013.
