OKLAHOMA CITY – This summer, Arts Council Oklahoma City’s Sunday Twilight Concert Series invites music lovers of all ages to free, family-friendly concerts at Bicentennial Park and Myriad Gardens. The 2017 Sunday Twilight Concert Series kicks off with The Wise Guys at Bicentennial Park! Join us from 7:30-9PM for an evening of rock music! “We are so thrilled to kick off this year’s Sunday Twilight Concert Series in Bicentennial Park with The Wise Guys!,” said Katelyn Carter, ACOKC Projects Director, “As a staple of the Oklahoma City music scene for decades, we can’t wait to watch them wow you with their impressive repertoire and incredible on stage presence. What better way to get the summer started than with this fun and talented group of musicians?”

From their beginning in the late 1970’s as a four-part harmony acapella group, to their hard gigging days playing over a hundred dates a year in the 1980’s and early 1990’s, to the building of the refined and powerful full band sound of The Wise Guys today, you have to experience a Wise Guys performance to fully appreciate how great live vintage rock’n’roll can be. Drawing from a repertoire of hundreds of songs from great artists like The Beach Boys, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, The Eagles, Bruce Springsteen, The Cars, CSN, The Hollies, The Romantics, America, Maroon 5 and dozens more, The Wise Guys put forth highly-articulated 4 and 5 part harmonized vocals over instrumentation that is period-correct.

This year’s lineup, which is subject to change, is as follows:

June 18: JMK // Saint Loretto
June 25: David B. Hooten and the Legends of Dixieland (Bicentennial Park)
