TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Ok. – Tinker Star Spangled Salute Air and Space Show organizers are excited about this year’s show, now less a month away.
Admission is free and gates will open at 8 a.m. Flying will begin at 11 a.m. on June 1 and 2.

The Blue Angels, the Navy’s premier aerial demonstration team will headline this year’s festivities along with the Air Force F-16 Viper Demonstration Team.

The theme is Past, Present, and Future, and Team Tinker’s Open House organizers have quite a line up for attendees.

Flying acts will include a P-51 Mustang heritage flight, A-1 Skyraider, MiG-17, and Vietnam combat search and rescue reenactment. Also performing will be the Wings of Blue parachute team, and acrobatic pilots such as Adam Baker, Justin Lewis, Kent Pietsch, and more.

There will be a wide variety of aircraft displays on the ground as well, with crew members available to tell visitors all about them and give them a look inside.

While the air acts are always popular, we are very excited to introduce a new interactive Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics area to this year’s open house. STEM City will include exhibits and demonstrations from industry and educational organizations. Attendees of all ages can interact with various types of robots, drones and large STEM-related video games
