Checotah’s 12 th Annual Chili Cook-Off to Benefit Heartland Heritage Center

Checotah, Oklahoma, is the place to be on Saturday, February 23, to taste some of the best chili around and enjoy a raffle and an auction to benefit the Heartland Heritage Center. Doors open at 5 p.m. at the First Free Will Baptist Church Event Center for the Chili Cook-Off.

The competition entry forms may be obtained at Checotah City Hall. Cash prizes include first place of $500 and People’s Choice prize of $250. A raffle and an auction are included at the event. The auction features a “Bed & Breakfast Get Away, Give Away.” The raffle is for a Liberty gun safe. Raffle tickets sell for $1.00 each or six for $5 and can be purchased at Richey’s Gun & Pawn, Checotah Chamber of Commerce, McIntosh Co. Democrat, 69 Diner and Armstrong Bank.
