OKLAHOMA CITY — The movie screen at Oklahoma City’s iconic Tower Theatre will come back to life after 30 years of darkness.

The Tower Theatre Cinema is celebrating its debut by screening the following movies:
• “2001: A Space Odyssey” on Monday, Nov. 13
• “The Fifth Element” on Tuesday, Nov. 14
• Louis C.K.’s new independent film, “I Love You, Daddy,” on Dec. 1.

“I spent a lot of time considering what films we would show first at the Tower Theatre,” said Stephen Tyler, the operating partner of the theatre. “I wanted to respect and honor the history of the Tower. By picking films that resonate with the times past, present and future.”

According to officials, movies shown at Tower Theatre Cinema will be a mix of classics, independent films and fan favorites. Movie-goers will enjoy films from the original Tower Theatre seats, completely renovated and reupholstered.

Theatre snacks include popcorn, candy and a full bar.

In addition, Rob Paulsen, best known as Pinky from “Pinky and the Brain,” Yakko from “Animaniacs” and Raphael (and Donatello) from “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” will perform “Animaniacs in Concert!” Friday, Dec. 8 at the Tower Theatre.
