Davis Elected as 2017 Chairman of National Restaurant Association

[Tulsa, Oklahoma] – At a gala event in Tulsa at Southern Hills Country Club, the Oklahoma Restaurant Association (ORA) honored United States Beef Corporation (US Beef) Chairman, Jeffery W. Davis, for a lifetime of leadership within the restaurant industry.

Davis will be the first Oklahoma restaurateur to be elected as Chairman of the National Restaurant Association (NRA) in 2017. The NRA is the largest restaurant industry business association in the United States, representing 1 million restaurant locations nationwide.

Jim Hopper, president and CEO of the ORA said, “Jeff Davis has been the gold standard for the ORA, and we’re all so proud of what he’s accomplished with his company, the Arby’s brand, his leadership in the ORA, and now as the leader of the restaurant industry. To be the first Oklahoman to sit as Chairman of the world’s largest restaurant association says a lot about Jeff as a person, an entrepreneur, a world class restaurateur, and business leader. The ORA is excited to honor Jeff for representing not only our state, but now the country’s second largest private sector employer – our country’s restaurants.”

Attending Tuesday evening’s event were special guests Dawn Sweeney, the president and CEO of the NRA from Washington, D.C., and from Atlanta, Paul Brown, CEO of Arby’s Restaurant Group, and Rob Lynch, Arby’s brand president and Chief Marketing Officer.

Davis is currently the Vice-Chairman of the NRA, and serves on the Board of Trustees for the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation. He also serves on the board of the ORA. At Arby’s, Davis has served for many years as the Chairman of the Arby’s Franchise Association (AFA), and has served on the Board of Trustees for the Arby’s Supply Chain Cooperative (ARCOP) since 1986.
