Announcement of Statewide Initiative to Build SAR Training Facility

Oklahoma is in the top five disaster states in the nation and SAR dogs are an invaluable resource when disasters strike. Oklahoma has nine SAR dogs; it needs 36. Barry and Becky Switzer’s K-9 ETC. Foundation will announce a statewide initiative to build a state-of-the-art training facility, Ground Zero K9 Emergency Training Center, for Search and Rescue (SAR) dogs and first responders. This event marked the first assignment of two Ground Zero K9’s SAR dogs to Oklahoma Task Force 1.
