You are invited to attend the “Patriotic Party on the Prairie” in Pawhuska on July 4th for food, fun and fireworks that Ladd and Tim Drummond and their cowboy friends are planning. Spend Independence Day in small-town America with a good, old-fashioned get-together and make a memory the kids won’t soon forget full of red, white, and blue patriotism and smiles!

The following weekend on July 7th you’ll want to be at Lake Skiatook for the “Fire on the Water” fireworks display. Come spend the afternoon on the lake and watch the fire on the water at dark with a spectacular fireworks show brought to you by Cross Timbers Marina where you can rent a boat or jet ski for the day and enjoy the fun.

The week of July 16th begins the week of Cavalcade in the Osage. There will be street dances and nightly rodeo performances of the world’s largest amateur rodeo. More information can be found at VisitTheOsage.com and Osage County Tourism is proud to be a co-sponsor of Cavalcade!

Also during the month of July, Osage County will be visited by some of Hollywood for the first Pawhuska Film School in the Osage. If you know a student between the ages of 14 and 19 who is passionate about any area of the film industry, sign them up soon. This school will be limited to only 12 to 15 students and will be a four-day intensive training time in which the students will be using state-of-the-art equipment and learning from the experts. There is no fee for this opportunity as it has been generously sponsored by those interested in promoting the arts in the Osage. The Pawhuska Film School will take place July 23 – July 27, 2018 and the deadline to apply is July 14, 2018. For questions please call Elle Jewell at 918-706-5454.
