Claremore, OK – Professional bull riding is one of Oklahoma’s favorite sports, always in demand, with participation from some of Oklahoma’s favorite sons. Now, to answer that demand, enter the PRCA’s Xtreme Bulls event, coming to the Claremore Expo Center at 7:30 on November 1st and 2nd, 2019.

Fans will experience the heart pounding, boot stomping and edge of your seat bull riding excitement of the PRCA as 40 of the nation’s top bull riders compete each night to earn points heading into the PRCA’s National Finals Rodeo in December.  For two days fans, are guaranteed an action-packed, jaw-dropping experience every time a 150-pound bull rider squares off with a 2,000-pound bull for one of the most physically explosive battles in sports, an 8-second clash that is sure to get the heart racing.

The format is simple. Each night 40 bull riders will face one bull each, competing for the night’s top score. Once all competitors’ scores have been calculated from the full weekend, the points leader will be announced and champion crowned at the event’s close. Competitors will be vying for a $10,000 total purse.

Intermission will again feature the nail-biting competition of man vs beast as one of the most prolific athletes in western sports history takes on Big Rafter Rodeo’s bull, Ronin, in a special exhibition challenge for fans to witness first hand.  Affectionately known as THE Bull Riding Ninja, this former multi-time USA gymnastics national team member, American Ninja Warrior competitor and Jiu Jitsu fighter turned professional bull rider, Venn Johns, will thrill fans as he attempts to ride one of the most dominating bulls in the entire sport of bull riding. If he is successful, Johns will be awarded bragging rights and a purse of cash as the victor, courtesy of Dave’s RV in Tulsa.

Produced by Big Rafter Entertainment, the PRCA’s Xtreme Bulls event is slated to be the highlight of Will Rogers Days, an event celebrating the life and career of Will Rogers, held annually in Claremore.

“We’ve been looking forward to coming back to Oklahoma with great anticipation” said Jeff Lee, General Manager for Big Rafter Entertainment. “There is absolutely no doubt that this is going to be an exciting event and special for the fans,” he said.  “We are proud to be a part of Will Rogers Days, a great event celebrating a cowboy legend. There will be many exciting activities all weekend with the PRCA’s Xtreme Bulls anchoring the festival each night. This will be everything Oklahoma bull riding fans have come to expect and more.”
