Start September off with a High Noon Shoot Out at J.M. Davis Arms and Historical Museum September 7th. The Tri-State Gunfighters will stage a bank robbery, jailbreak and Wild West skits.  For more information, visit thegunmuseum.com

It’s that time of year again! The Rogers County Fair will be September 12th-15th at the Claremore Expo. Come out and visit the students and their animals, the carnival or shop our county square every day. This year the pumpkin weigh off will be on site behind the county square! For your evening entertainment there will be karaoke provided by Rock N the Kasbaw Thursday night, James Muns Band Friday night and Dueling Pianos with Tom Basler and friend Saturday night in our Cantina! Get on down to the Will Rogers Downs for the September 21st for the Lawn Mower Races! The practice laps will begin at approximately 5pm, followed by the heat races, then featured races. For more information, visit  cherokeecasino.com.

Shepherds Cross is hosting their Pumpkin Festival again this year, September 24 – November 9th from 9am – 6:30 pm.  The festival is more than a pumpkin patch, with plenty of family fun inside and out. Activities include and not limited to pumpkin patch, hay maze, scarecrow making, hay rides, and a farm animal petting barn. For more information, visit shepherdscross.com.

Head to downtown Thursday September 26th for Food Truck Thursday, monthly food truck and shopping event! Come check out the live music, food trucks and local shops, from 6 pm – 9 pm! Join the Will Rogers Memorial Museum as they host their monthly Movie Night at the Museum in the newly renovated theatre. Doors to the museum will open September 27th at 6:30 pm movie will begin at 7 pm.  Drinks and popcorn are provided for guest to enjoy while watching a Will Rogers Film. The Route 66 Cruisers Car Club will be at the Claremore Lake, Saturday September 27th from 4pm – 6pm and Sunday the 29th 8am – 4pm. Proceeds benefit the Sponsored Children of the Akdar Shrine and other local charities. Saturday will be the cruise in from Ne-Mar Center to the lake. Sunday there will be giveaways, cash and prizes! Stop by the Claremore Expo Center between August 31st through September 2nd to see the OEA Go for Gold Show!  Go for The Gold is a Stallion Service Auction and Futurity and is part of Oklahoma Palomino Exhibitor’s Association.
