Summer is here and Claremore is a hopping place! There are a variety of great outdoor activities for you and your family to enjoy. Find details on all of the great upcoming events in Claremore on our website.
Memorial weekend brings many great events to the area. Three time PRCA Small Rodeo of the Year the Will Rogers Stampede Rodeo is Friday through Sunday with rodeo performances at 7:30 pm each night. Enjoy concerts after every rodeo performance; no need to worry about a separate ticket, it’s included with your rodeo ticket! The Will Rogers Memorial Museum is hosting Cowboy Traders Days on Saturday from 8 am to 5 pm and Ruffles and Rust Expo is the perfect shopping stop for ladies from 9 am to 5 pm at the Claremore Expo Center.

At high noon on Saturday, June 3rd head over to the JM Davis Gun Museum for a wild west shootout! The Tri-State Gunfighters put on a great show! Afterwards go over to the Claremore Expo Center for Reveille Rotary’s Boots and BBQ Festival. Taste a variety of great barbecue from 20+ cooks. The BBQ Cook-off features KCBS and backyard competitions. Tasting kits will go on sale at 1 pm and tasting starts at 2 pm.

Oklahoma is home to the longest stretch of original Route 66 and Claremore area has some great Route 66 icons. One of those, the Totem Pole in Foyil, will be hosting a BBQ and Music Fest on Saturday, June 10th from 12 pm to 4 pm. You can enjoy a BBQ lunch and great local music with proceeds from the event going to assist with continued efforts to restoration and upkeep of the Totem Pole.

The Oklahoma Military Academy, once known as the “West Point of the Southwest,” operated at what is now Rogers State University from 1919 to 1971. Each year past attendees come back to Claremore for a reunion event. We welcome them to town the weekend of June 9th for reunion activities.

Now that it’s summer it’s time for the West Bend Block Parties on the Green! Come out to the Expo Center on Tuesday, June 13th from 6 pm to 9 pm for food truck dinner, live music from Eric James and Cole Lynch, great kids activities and shopping!

Shepherds Cross is hosting a Fiber Fest weekend June 15 through 17th at their working sheep farm north of Claremore. You can learn how to take wool just sheared off a sheep and turn it into a variety of useable products to take home! It’s going to be a weekend full of fun and learning! Do you have some junk or hidden treasures that you’d like to sell or like to buy and redo? Come out to the Claremore Flea Market on Saturday, June 24th from 8 am to 4 pm inside the Claremore Expo Center. We have plenty of space for vendors to setup and it’s climate controlled so no weather issues here!

Downtown Claremore will have food trucks galore, live music, inflatables and activities for the kiddos, great shopping and more at Food Truck Thursday on June 29th. The fun starts at 6 pm and runs until 9 pm.
