Currently a commissioner on the City of Oklahoma City's Historic Preservation Commission, Jo has recently been appointed as an advisor to the College of Architectures' Interior Design Board of Visitors. Active in the Oklahoma Chapter of the National Kitchen and Bath Association, she takes professional growth seriously and endeavors to continue to learn about kitchen and interior design.
While early projects focused on housing built prior to WWII, many of today's projects are linked to the Mid Century Modern style of architecture. Almost every style today has a little "modern" combined with a more traditional foundation. Jo, at Urban Kitchens, has a great fondness for "modern" projects.
"Collaboration with the client is what I strive for." "The best designs come when the clients and the designer work and respect each other." "I want my clients to come into their new kitchen every morning, get a cup of coffee and think to themselves - I love my kitchen!"
