As a country with a reputable variety of culture, it’s no wonder India’s mysterious ways are being explored more and more by Westerners. This month’s feature focuses on the growing charm of one of the most populated, yet rarely visited, places on earth.

India… the Taj Mahal… theGangesRiver… jungles full of wild tigers… Rudyard Kipling was not kidding.

It’s the oldest culture in the world, and there are signs of that everywhere you look.  Unassuming roadside structures turn out to be 6,000 years old.  Every day is a totally new experience, a feast for your mind, and everywhere you look is an explosion of color, or something else astounding is going on.  “Wow, what a beautiful temple… and… wow… is that a cow standing on the roof with a monkey riding it?”

They are also among the most welcoming cultures in the world.  The people are remarkable, warm, and friendly, eager to share their lives (and a photo) with Westerners.

Indiais a Paradox, good and bad, totally uplifting while simultaneously disheartening.  It’s all these things at all times, you just have to take the good with the bad and it’s so worth it.  No destination offers a more radically different perspective, and I can’t recommend it enough.
